Operations

The Minnesota Association of Charter Schools (MACS) is a nonprofit membership organization founded by charter schools in 1996. The Association is governed by a Board of Directors composed of member school representatives and community members. The Board has adopted strategies, outcomes and goals which guide the initiatives and work of the Association.

The staff is empowered to lead, coordinate and facilitate the Association's initiatives, programs and services in accordance with the Association's strategic outcomes.

 

 

  • Board of Directors

    The Board of Directors of the MN Association of Charter Schools is composed of six representatives from member schools and three at-large community members with expertise, skills and networks that will aid the Association and the charter school movement. (Community members may not be employed by, under contract to, or serve on the Board of any charter school.)   • MACS Staff

    The Association's three-person staff consists of an Executive Director, an Associate Director, and an Administrative Assistant. MACS also contracts a part-time Government Relations lobbyist and a part-time accountant.

  • Bylaws & Annual Report

    The Association’s by-laws provide the underlying organizational structure by which MACS conducts its operations. ANNUAL MEETING Each year, the Association reports on its annual activities, accomplishments and upcoming initiatives to membership at our Annual Meeting.
