Federal Charter Programs
Among the programs in the Elementary and Secondary Education Act is the Charter Schools Program (CSP). The Office of Charter School Programs coordinates the federal charter school program and provides those interested in charter schools with support and information.
The Charter School Program provides funding to create new high-quality public charter schools, as well to disseminate information about ones with proven track records. Federal funds are also available to replicate and expand successful schools, to help charter schools find suitable facilities, and to pay for national activities and initiatives that support charter schools.
