Day at Capitol
Annually, the Minnesota Association of Charter Schools sponsors and coordinates a charter school day at the Minnesota Capitol during the legislative session. The day is an opportunity for the entire charter school community (administrators, board members, educators, and parents) to come together to meet with legislators, tell the story of Minnesota's charter schools, and advocate for the public policy legislative agenda ratified by MACS member schools.
8th Annual Charter School Day at the Capitol
On Wednesday, March 5th, 2014, the Association held its eight annual Charter School Day at the Capitol. More than 120 board members, administrators, teachers, and students representing over 40 Minnesota charter schools went to the state capitol to speak with senators and representatives to educate them about charter school issues and the MACS legislative agenda. The Association facilitated approximately 40 constituent meetings.
Thanks to all of you who participated in this successful Day at the Capitol!
