Seven Hills Preparatory Academy - Increase Learning Opportunities for Students

Seven Hills Preparatory Academy (“SHPA”) offers a K-8 program committed to providing an excellent learning environment by engaging students in a content-rich curriculum within a Classical education model. As a civic-minded preparatory school, SHPA promotes lifelong learning through character and social development while embracing the individual needs of each student. SHPA knows social-emotional learning directly contributes to student success, but recognizes schools in the state and across the country simply do not have the funds for a full-time counselor, which leaves individual students and families underserved. As a result, SHPA began partnering with Adler Graduate School of Counseling (“Adler”) in 2013 in an effort to develop a model for providing high-quality, cost-effective school counseling services tailored to specific needs. The outcome has been a 5-year relationship that has evolved, expanded, and proven that exceptional and affordable counseling services can be offered by charter schools to students and families in need.
