Charter School Funding: Inequity Persists - Minnesota
In May 2010, a new study was released, entitled "Charter School Funding: Inequity Persists." Conducted by researchers at Ball State University in Indiana, the study examined charter school funding in 25 states, including Minnesota, and follows up on a study done in 2005 by the Thomas B. Fordham Institute.
Note: The study shows that the disparity in per pupil funding for students who attend a charter versus a traditional district in Minnesota actually grew in the years between the two studies.
