Cooperative Services
As part of our efforts to serve as a trusted broker in connecting people, organizations and resources to build and strengthen the charter school community, the MN Association of Charter Schools provides excellent opportunities for our member schools to cooperate together and pool resources, such as:
- facilitating collaborative efforts between schools to share in workshop costs,
- connecting member charter schools with local organizations offering volunteer assistance, and
- negotiating marketing opportunities which allow member schools to work together and pool resources for great advertising and exposure to families and the general public at a fraction of what these opportunities would cost a single school.

Event Sponsorship for MN Parent Magazine Fall 2011 Expo – October 15th
For the third year in a row, member schools had the opportunity to pool resources for a great charter school marketing opportunity to potential parents through MN Parent Magazine – a magazine with a circulation of over 55,000 readers. MACS and 14 different member charter schools obtained an event and advertising sponsorship for the MN Parent Magazine’s Fall Parent Expo on October 15th at the Como Zoo & Conservatory. Hands Joining Hands Volunteer Group
In March, 2011, MACS was initially approached by the leadership of a local volunteer group – Hands Joining Hands – who offered their assistance to local St. Paul charter schools who might be in need of volunteers, and the opportunity to participate in a backpack supply drive for one interested school.
