Legal Issues pertaining to Charter Schools

This topic is a recent, but extremely important, edition to the workshops we are offering to the charter school community. It is crucial to be knowledgeable and up-to-date on important legal issues related to charter schools, and we hope to provide members of the charter school community with opportunities to further education yourselves on important legal issues you need to consider and with which your school needs to be in compliance.

The First Amendment in Charter Schools — A Legal Perspective on Religion & Free Speech in Charter Schools

Session Overview:
This is a workshop on the legal issues charters need to address with regard to the 1st Amendment. The session presenter will be Cindy Lavarato, a professor at the University of St. Thomas School of Education and Law School.
