On Tuesday morning, December 1st, 2009, MACS Executive Director Eugene Piccolo took part in a joint press conference with Senator Kathy Saltzman, Chair of the Senate Subcommittee on Charter Schools. MACS urges removal of impediment to reform initiatives in HF 935, 3-6-2009
In the charter school bill that passed the House K-12 Education Policy Committee, provisions were included that will place a de-facto moratorium on the establishment of charter schools in many areas of the state, among other concerns. MACS Announces Accountability and Enhancement Legislation, 1-22-2009
On Thursday afternoon, January 22nd, the MN Association of Charter Schools held a news conference to announce our 2009 legislative initiative, “The Charter School Accountability and Enhancement Act of 2009.”
