Associate Membership - Authorizer

The Associate Membership-Charter School Authorizer is open to all organizations in Minnesota that authorize charter schools.

By joining the Associate Membership-Charter School Authorizer, you become an active part of an association committed to promoting innovation, quality, choice and accountability in public education by promoting charter schools in Minnesota.

Associate Membership- Charter School Authorizer provides give your organization the opportunity to:

• Participate in all Program & Services Committees of the Association, including the;Public Policy & Grassroots Advocacy Committee, Board Leadership Academy Council, Human Resources Management Issues Committee, Membership Recruitment & Retention Committee, Awards & Recognition Committee, and Teacher Relicensure Committee;

• Participate in Quarterly Authorizer Forums that provide training and opportunities for discussion of common concerns;

• Attend MACS sponsored workshops, training programs and conferences at Associate Member rates; and

• Receive automatic subscriptions to the following electronic newsletters – MACS Today (newsletter about the Association’s activities); The Advocate (newsletter on public policy issues and legislative action); The Professional (Members-only newsletter for leadership & professional development); The Trustee (Members-only newsletter for charter school board members)

2010 Membership Fee for Associate Member-Authorizers is:
Base Fee $200. plus $25. per school authorized.

All you need to do to become a MACS Charter School Authorizer - Associate Member is complete and return an application form along with your membership fee to the MACS office.
