This workshop will give you an overall view of the work that Welcoming Schools does with schools across the United States. Learn about the many professional development trainings, lesson plans, books and resources that our nationally acclaimed, research-based program has to offer. We use a comprehensive, intersectional approach to create inclusive, affirming and welcoming schools for all students, families and staff. Our trainings include: Embracing All Families, Creating LGBTQ Inclusive Schools, Preventing Bias-Based Bullying, Creating Gender Inclusive Schools, Supporting Transgender and Non-Binary Students, Laws and Policies that Support Welcoming Schools and Intersectionality: School Practices with an Intersectional Lens.
