Job Description

Pre-referral consultation to general and special education teachers
Case management for students with speech-language impairments only
Due process compliance, third-party billing, program data collection, funding reports, etc
EvLead classroom social skills groups using Social Thinking social skills curriculum
Prepare and instruct individualized articulation sessions
Support language during reading centers
Collaborate with service providers communication disabilities

Teach functional life skills
Model how to support language during academics
Use PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets) to facilitate articulation as needed
Promote play and development of problem solving skills
Assist with development and implementation of STACK (School-wide Technology and Augmentative Communication for Kids) Program: programming and use of iPads for communication for children that are functionally non-verbal or have limited verbal skills
Assist in the development of The Spero Academy Skills Inventory: a measurement tool of joint attention and social play, self-regulation, communication, functional life skills and technology usealuations: Comprehensive initial and reevaluations for all types of dard-referred IEPs and IIIPs (intervention that supports literacy and other standards)
Direct intervention services to students in the least restrictive environment (include classroom-based service)
Indirect intervention and consultative services to teams
Other site-based and special education duties, including support of district literacy goals
Collaborate with teachers and paraprofessionals
Utilize the push-in model of service

Qualifications

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or completing CFY year
Masters Degree in Communication Disorders
Current Minnesota Speech Pathology License through the Department of Education.
