Job Description

HSRA is looking for to add to our student support team! We are looking for individuals who have experience in conflict mediation, restorative practices, and building strong relationships with students and their families.

In this position, the candidate will work with a diverse team to meet and greet students at our school establishing relationships and helping them to meet their daily and yearly goals. They will coordinate with social workers, teachers, case-managers, advisors, and support staff, to support and advocate for a caseload of students. They will also facilitate mediation and restorative best practices to help our students maneuver through conflict, and develop social and emotional tools to help them in their school community and every day life.


They should be self-starters, excited for collaboration, be able to work with a variety of staff and students.

- Prior successful experience in urban, multicultural education desirable.

- Experience working with adolescents, youth agencies, social services, and school systems. Experience with conflict mitigation through restorative practices.

- Persistence. Belief that all youth have the ability to learn

- Ability and willingness to work with families in a non-blaming approach.

- Advocacy skill, including good communication skills and the ability to negotiate, compromise, and confront conflict.

- Organizational skill, flexibility and ability to work in a variety of settings. Ability to work independently.
