Job Description

HSRA is looking to add to our Advisory Team! We are looking for individuals who have experience in building strong relationships with students and their families, goal-setting, scheduling, project guidance and tutoring, and restorative practices.

In this position, the candidate will work with a caseload of students to build strong relationships and help them build a personal learning plan that meets their individual educational learning style. They will help their caseload daily with supportive nudges and outreach, planning meetings, and interventions and mediation. They will coordinate with social workers, teachers, case-managers, and support staff, to understand their students' daily experiences and advocate for each student individually. They will strive to help each student on their caseload meet their daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly goals.

Qualifications

They should be self-starters, excited for collaboration, be able to work with a variety of staff and students.

- Prior successful experience in urban, multicultural education desirable.

- Experience working with adolescents, youth agencies, social services, and school systems. Experience with conflict mitigation through restorative practices.

- Persistence. Belief that all youth have the ability to learn

- Ability and willingness to work with families in a non-blaming approach.

- Advocacy skill, including good communication skills and the ability to negotiate, compromise, and confront conflict.

- Organizational skill, flexibility and ability to work in a variety of settings. Ability to work independently.
