TCGIS is seeking a strong leader with excellent organizational and communication skills who can foster positive relationships with staff, students, and families. As part of the school’s Leadership Team, the ES Dean provides instructional and organizational leadership to the Elementary School team while maintaining a positive and encouraging attitude that supports the mission of the school and the strategic goals set by the Executive Director and the Board of Directors.
Contribute to short and long-term organizational planning and strategy of the school
Participate in recruitment, selection, evaluation, and retention of instructional employees.
Collaborate with School Leadership Team on implementing school-wide behavior management system based on PBIS practices.
Collaborate with School Leadership Team and appropriate teachers on designs and implementation of annual professional learning opportunities.
Collaborate with School Leadership Team on managing schedules, meetings, procedures and policies
Collaborate with PBIS Team, Professional Learning Committee, Q-Comp Committee, to gather & share information, and to represent ES perspectives.
Contribute to the development and management of councils and relevant board committees
Lead recognition events and other school-wide culture-building activities.
Lead staff training at the start of the school year and on professional development days.
Elementary School Management
Manage ES Coordinator(s) and support collaborative decision-making
Ensure consistency in the educational philosophy
Communicate the vision and mission of TCGIS through communications, meetings, and interactions with parents and students.
Support ES teachers’ understanding and implementation of the pedagogical concept.
Support teachers in consistent implementation of discipline policy, behavior expectations, and school-wide norms. Consistently and compassionately enforce school discipline, implementing aspects of restorative justice alongside effective discipline measures.
Curriculum and Instruction:
Collaborate with Academic Leadership Team and appropriate faculty on maintaining and reviewing the school’s pedagogical concept.
Manage grade-level team and individual teacher curriculum development.
Serve as an instructional coach and mentor for teachers, supporting staff in specific areas of differentiated and immersion learning best practices.
Work collaboratively, build strong professional relationships, listen to multiple views and support solution-oriented practices.
Establish a structured, positive, and inspiring school culture.
Create a culture of equity that values diversity and inclusion,
Commitment to student achievement and equitable access to opportunities for all TCGIS students
Other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Education or related field.
Experience working with staff from different countries.
Minimum of 3 years experience teaching in a K-12 classroom.
Experience in curriculum development and assessment analysis.
Experience in developing and implementing social-emotional learning.
Demonstrated leadership and project organizational skills, (planning, implementing, evaluation).
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent technological skills.
Experience in creating and maintaining relationships with third parties.
Master’s Degree (or equivalent) in Educational Administration or related field.
Proficiency in German language and culture.
Minimum of 5 years experience teaching world language in a K-12 classroom.
Experience supervising teachers.

Salary will commensurate with experience. As a full time position, the MS Dean is eligible employer-sponsored benefits including health, dental, life, and disability insurance; paid time off (18 days per year) and paid holidays (12 per year); and automatic enrollment to Public Employee Retirement Association.
