Job Description

Sojourner Truth Academy (STA) is currently seeking a committed, passionate, Health Aide Paraprofessional who holds a strong belief in the ability of our scholars. The Health Aide Paraprofessional provides critical support to the efficient functioning of the health office and supports the front office in areas related to scholar health such as attendance, transportation, health documents, first-aid and illness response. Working Hours: Tuesday – Friday 7:30 – 10:30a.m.

Sojourner Truth Academy is a PK-8 open-enrollment public charter school in Minneapolis, MN. $15 per hour+ Experience-based, Paraprofessionals

Qualifications

REQUIRED TRAINING QUALIFICATIONS

Health Aide Paraprofessional positions require:
*Associates of Arts (A.A.) degree or higher OR high school diploma or G.E.D. and at least sixty (60) college credits OR successful completion of Parapro examination. Parapro exam offered by STA.

CERTIFICATE & LICENSURE:
*First Aid Certification
*CPR & AED Certification
*Bloodborne pathogen certification

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
*EMT - CNA - LPN or RN licensure preferred
*Oral Spanish language proficiency preferred
*Two year paraprofessional certificate preferred
