Job Description

Purpose and Overview of Role: The Academic Supervision position provides support and guidance for distance learning to students who are on campus in classrooms. These students are attending the Great River School Resource Center onsite during school hours. The Academic Supervisor ensures that students onsite have access to adult guidance, to technology support, snacks and lunch, outdoor and indoor recreation/play and creative expression in a safe, equitable and nurturing environment.

Responsibilities and Duties Include:
Directly supervises students between the hours of 9:00am and 3:00pm
Prepares the learning environment to be clean, safe and accessible for education
Provides scheduling and school attendance guidance/supervision
Provides technology support
Connects the student to needed resources
Helps with academic questions as appropriate
Provides for a sense of community within the student group
Supervise lunch and recess as needed
Enforces positive discipline and that safe-healthy practices are followed
Communicates with Program Director any concerns or challenges


High School diploma/GED
Ability and joy in working with students ages 6 to 17
