Institution Description

Oshki Ogimaag Charter School is a small school located on the beautiful shores of Lake Superior in Northern Minnesota. We are a responsive classroom school that is working to build an integrated curriculum with a focus on environmental education and science.
The small class sizes and multi-grade classrooms at our school create a perfect opportunity for our staff to build strong relationships with students and families and to individualize instruction and support when needed. Students at Oshki Ogimaag receive instruction in Ojibwe Language and Culture throughout the school year. Weekly expeditions to a nearby wilderness area offer opportunities to enjoy nature, build community, and get first hand experience building both traditional and modern knowledge and skills.
Teaching at Oshki Ogimaag is a chance of life time for a licensed classroom teacher who has a desire to work in a small friendly setting, who enjoys the great outdoors, and longs to experience the myriad of outdoor activities available in this area.
