Job Description

Positive School Community
• Establish and enforce all school procedures and essential agreements.
• Organize and lead subject specific classroom activities to promote physical, mental and social emotional health and development
• Maintain positive, professional relationships with staff, students and parents in and out of school
• Meet and/or communicate with parents and/or guardians to discuss student progress and to determine priorities and needs for their students
• Communicate with parents and families regularly, newsletters, designated phone apps, phone calls and email
• Attend and help coordinate monthly family events
• Implement school discipline according to Stonebridge discipline policies and leveled behavior plan.
Curriculum
• Implement all subject specific curriculum with fidelity as directed by administration.
• Establish clear objectives for ALL lessons based on MN State Standards and communicate these to students
• Plan and prepare activities for a balanced program of modeling, guided practice and independent work that provides students with opportunities to inquire, explore and investigate
• Prepare daily lesson plans and provide written evidence of planning as requested by turning in lesson plans by Monday at 9:00 a.m.
• Collaborate weekly with middle school team to promote learning and consistency between classrooms
• Complete Emergency Sub Plans with designated activities and materials and keep current plan on file
• Integrate arts and technology into lessons to enhance teaching
• Adapt and differentiate teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students’ various needs and interests
• Implement descriptors from the Teacher Advancement Program (TAP) rubric as well as complete IGPs/Reflection Groups
• Plan field trips, projects and other experiential activities to enhance in-class learning
• Implement Turnaround Arts strategies based on program goals and school direction.
• Be prepared with academic and technology planning to implement distance learning and/or hybrid according to school designation during the Covid-19 pandemic as determined by the Stonebridge Board of Directors
Assessment
• Assess and evaluate students’ academic performance on a regular basis in order to enhance and inform instruction, including Fountas and Pinnell 3 times a year, MAP 3 times a year, ELA assessments as directed and Math assessments witin curriculum as directed
• Maintain accurate and complete Cumulative Student Data Files and a digital grade book as required by law and the school
• Prepare academic and behavioral reports on students and activities as requested by administration
Professional Responsibilities
• Plan, supervise, communicate and evaluate assignments and interventions for classroom paraprofessionals
• Organize and inventory classroom equipment, materials and supplies
• Meet with school administrators, coaches and other school professionals regarding individual student needs as requested
• Attend professional trainings and workshops to improve professional competence
• Attend all staff meetings; serve on committees as required and be aware of and follow all policies and essential agreements within the school
• Accurately take attendance, breakfast counts and enforce the school food rules, as well as healthy snack expectations and Wellness policy
• Adhere to all Stonebridge Policies, Essential Agreements and School-Wide Guide
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in subject area
• Valid Minnesota teaching license for the appropriate level or subject area
