Job Description

Job Title: Attendance Clerk & Office Assistant
Level: Administrative
Classification: .6 FTE (part-time, work hours 7:45 am - 1:00 pm)
Compensation: Commensurate with experience
Reports to: Director of Administration
Start Date: August 22, 2022

General description:
The Attendance Clerk & Office Assistant is responsible for tracking student attendance, tracking staff attendance and organizing daily substitute needs, and supporting the school office staff.

Student Attendance:
-Manage the email to track caregiver submission of absences.
-Use the daily attendance tracking spreadsheet to communicate attendance updates to those who need to know (also tracks late arrivals and early departures for front office staff).
-Update attendance records in the student information system (Powerschool) as needed.
-Work with the Dean of Students to manage truancy communications.

Office Support:
-Daily coverage of half hour lunch for the Front Desk Coordinator
-As-needed support of the office can include, locating students, delivering notes, helping in the health office, covering the front desk, and other duties that arise daily in a school office.
-Other duties as assigned


-High School Diploma or GED

-Must be able to multitask in a fast paced environment
-Proficient with technology and learning online systems
-Familiar and comfortable with Office Suite tools (sheets, docs, etc)
